Why and When wrinkles are formed?

Wrinkles are formed on the skin when the skin start to lose the hydration. As the age increases, it is normal that the skin loses its hydration. It is quite normal after 30 years of age. For young aged people , due to unhealthy food habitswinkles may start to appear on the skin. Some of the main reasons why wrinkles are formed are :
  1. Due to age.
  2. Loss of water content in the body.
  3. Unhealthy food habits.
  4. Over exposure to sun.
  5. Using too harsh soaps.

How to prevent our skin from wrinkles?

Though we cannot completely prevent forming wrinkles on our skin as age grows, we can take some preventive measures to keep our skin healthy and prevent wrinkles. First and foremost is that we should understand that when we keep our insidehealthy, our outside will reflect. This is not only for body but also for our mind. Here are some tips to prevent formation of wrinkles.
  1. Eat more fruits because they can be taken raw, so you get more nutrients from fruits.
  2. Eat more fresh vegetables. If not fresh vegetables, do not over cook vegetables.
  3. Apply fresh juice of cucumber or potato on the skin. If you feel that your skin is more dry after doing this, apply some coconut oil on the skin before applying cucumber or potato juice.
  4. Apply milk cream mixed with green gram flour on the face.
  5. Take moderate amount of fatty food to keep your skin moisturized naturally. For example take curd , milk or coconut daily.
  6. Sun light is necessary for the health of skin. But do not over expose your skin to sunlight(if it is very harsh during summer).
  7. Coconut oil is best to keep the skin moisturized. Apply coconut oil before bath.
  8. Do some physical exercises.

Home Remedies to prevent wrinkles

You can follow any one of the tips given below. Be careful. Observer your skin as you follow the tips. If you find any reverse changes, then stop and follow the one which is friendly for your skin.
  • Rub ground onion on your face. Leave it for 10 minutes and wash it. Do this daily.
  • Apply cucumber juice daily.
  • Apply potato juice on alternate days.
  • Any fruits mashes like banana or sapota or papaya can be applied on the skin.
  • Honey is said to be an excellent moisturizer. Apply honey mixed with glycerine.
  • One of the best home remedies for wrinkles includes eggs. Apply beaten egg whites on the wrinkled skin. Let it dry and then wash off.
  • Applying coconut oil on the wrinkled skin is considered to be a good home remedy. However, make sure you apply it only before going to bed.
  • Take a little turmeric powder and add sugarcane juice to it. Form a paste and apply it on the wrinkles. Once dry, rinse it off the face. This is a useful way to get rid of wrinkles.
  • Take a green seedless grape and cut it into half. Now, rub one of the halves on the wrinkled face. Leave it for 20 minutes, before rinsing off with warm water.
  • Rubbing the core of a pineapple on the wrinkled area also comprises of an effective home remedy. Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes, before washing it off with warm water.
  • Another helpful home remedy would be to apply the juice of green pineapples and apples on the face, everyday, for about 10 to 15 minutes. Apart from removing the wrinkles, it also helps in healing cracked skin.
  • Applying lemon juice several times a day is likely to be effective in getting rid of the wrinkles.
  • Another effective way to treat wrinkles would be to have a tbsp of shredded ginger with honey, as it will provide the skin with a healthy glow.
  • Put a metal spoon in the freezer overnight. In the morning, keep the back of the spoons on the eyes. Apart from curing the eye wrinkles, it will help in removing dark circles.
  • Massage the wrinkled area with castor oil. This would be helpful in removing the wrinkles.
  • Make a mixture of milk cream and few drops of lemon. After washing your face with lukewarm water and wiping with a towel, apply this mixture on the face during night. Wait till it is completely absorbed and wash after half an hour. Repeat this procedure for 15 days to get a wrinkle free face.
  • Massaging with olive oil helps to remove the wrinkles from face.
  • Daily application of ripe papaya helps not only to remove the wrinkles but also removes scars, freckles and makes the skin fair.

Vegetables used to prevent wrinkles

  • Take cucumber juice , dip a cotton and apply the juice of the wrinkles on face and neck. The cucumber juice not only brightens the face but also helpful in removing wrinkles when done in a periodic manner.

  • Papaya skin should be rubbed on face with its inner side. Papaya has vitamin A which revitalize the skin and also helps in removing the wrinkles from face and neck.
  • Rub the skin with the inner side of the sapota fruit. This is a good natural scrubber.
  • Eat a banana a day. Banana is having all nutrients that will help the body in maintaining good health and will also help in having glowing skin.

Wrinkle home remedies using oil

  • Apply castor oil on the face and neck in the night and wash it in the morning. Castor oil is good for skin. Massage the oil on the skin to have good effect. The massage should be done in circular motion. If proper massaging is not known to you, just apply oil and leave it.
  • Apply coconut oil to prevent wrinkles on face and skin.
  • Add ghee in your diet which will keep the skin young and retain elasticity. It is a good lubricator for the skin. In Tamilnadu, ghee is used in every day diet. This helps in keeping the skin young.

Anti aging using Nuts

  • Soak 4 almonds in the night. In the morning, eat the almonds after removing the skin in an empty stomach. Almonds are good for skin.
  • Grind almonds and khasa khasa. Apply this on the face and rub it for 5 minutes. This will give necessary moisture to the skin and will revitalize the skin. This will help in removing wrinkles.
