Natural Remedies for Hyper Tension (High Blood Pressure)

Hyper tension or high blood pressure is a common ailment for almost all people who have crossed 50 years of their age. It may be due to the food habits or the stressful life. Here are some natural remedies that can help in improving thisailment.

  • Garlic is always considered to maintain the blood pressure, because it purifies the blood and also removes any clots in the blood. So eating raw garlic pods of 3 will give an effective and natural remedy to hyper tension.
  • Amla(Indian Gooseberry) in honey is another wonderful piece of food that will help in reducing the high blood pressure.  This must be taken on empty stomach in the morning. Either amla(nellikai in tamil) in honey (amla soaked in honey) can be taken or take an amla and a spoon of honey separately.
  • Powder watermelon seeds and kasa kasa (poppy) seeds seperately. Take equal amount of powder of each along with water. This can be taken in the evening. If taken continuously for 48 days, you can see good improvement in hyper tension.
  • Powder the fenugreek (vendhayam) seeds. Take a spoon of this powder in empty stomach in the morning is said to reduce the hyper tension.
  • Squeeze lemon and have 2 teaspoon of lime juice. Mix this with a cup of water. Drink this liquid every 2 hours if you feel you have high blood pressure.
  • In empty stomach in the morning, take few thulasi and tender neem leaves. About 4 to 5 leaves of each will be enough. Do this for atleast 2 weeks to see a better result.
  • Curry leaves juice is also said to be helpful in reducing high blood pressure. Take curry leaves juice, filter and add enough water and drink in the morning.
  • Juice of murungai ilai is best effective home remedy for high BP. Take the juice, filter it. Take 2 teaspoons of this juice in the morning and evening. Within 2 to 3 days, you can see a change in high BP.
  • Eat fresh papaya fruit regularly to get relieved from high blood pressure.
  • Take onion juice and honey. Mix half spoon of each juice and take it 2 times a day.
  • 1 spoon of honey, 1 spoon of ginger juice and 1 spoon of jeera(cumin) powder mixed together and taken 2 times a day will reduce the high blood pressure.
  • Make a powder out of Fennel seeds (sombu), cumin seeds (jeeragam) and sugar. All the ingredients must be of equal quantity. In a glass of water, mix 1 spoon of the above powder and drink it twice a day.  This will reduce the blood pressure.
